Blairgowrie RSC was originally formed in the mid 1960s by Jim Carmichael. The club ran regular buses home and away up until Jim’s death in the 1980s. By this time most people were taking cars or the train to matches and the club went into abeyance for a time. In 2010 a meeting was held in the Cartwheel with the thought of running a bus to home games. The turnout was excellent and as such we have been running buses regularly since then.
The club added the Jim Carmichael name to its badge in 2011 and also a POTY trophy which has been won in 2011 by Steven Naismith and Steven Davis in 2012.
